ON THE ROAD,ON THE RADIO

Hey People its been a minute, was in leeds for the African style Carnival After Party on Sunday 29th Aug, then went on to Notting Hill Carnival the next day @ the corner of Bonchurch rd & Potabello for High On Hope AKA The African Corner. The vibe was nice, imagine hearing african anthems banging on a loud sound system @ the Carnival, priceless. Shouts to all who made it happen and we are so looking forward to next year's offering but for now the memories will do.

6th Sept. got to watch K'naan  again in Hoxton sq, east London, the place was sold out & the crowd sang along to every tune, its great to see K'naan growing to be a household name and still repping the motherland as well.

10th September another blessed day @ the Southbank festival in london, once again did it big, this time was warming up for the legend that is Mc Solaar, he had the crowd amped, chanting back and all you would expect from a hip hop crowd, only flaw for me was the auditorium/cinema hall sitting down style of hall ideal for opera & a play maybe but not for a hip hop act but all in all he did not disappoint.

This weeks DNA show on 1xtra also brought big tunes from the motherland as usual, featuring (Baby Jet ) Asamoah Gyan footballer & now rapper with Castro the destroyer on a tune called African Girls, also dropped the new VIP tune Away from Ghana, Mokobe with Mali Debout a celebration of Malian independence, Big Nelo from Angola, Ditty Blaq's Ifeneme from Nigeria and the world exclusive DNA mash up mix.
Click the link to listen back to the show and also check out the 3hrs of niceness from the African Urban music scene.
